BLUEBERRIES
Over the past 6 years we have planted a variety of Southern high bush and Rabbit Eye blueberries. Our soil, rain, and winter are very suitable for growing blueberries. The hardiness of the plant allows them to thrive without the use of synthetic pesticides. Using organic methods of production the plants start off a bit slower but once established thrive in their soil enriched with pine bark and oak leaves from the farm.
For fertilizer we use a combination of soybean meal, bone meal, and blood meal. Younger plants are fortified with Epsoma organic Holly-tone. Berries begin to arrive at the start of May and continue through July.
